Portrait of Olympe de Gouges, a French playwright and political activist. She is best known for her Declaration of the Rights of Woman and of the Female Citizen and other writings on women's rights and abolitionism. She was guillotined in 1793 for her radical opinions during the French Revolution. 

    Mercedes Lucy is a Margate-based artist telling her story through clay and hand-built vessels and sculptures, exploring motherhood, grief, transformation, and decay as tender, generative forces.
