Approx. 10cm × 10cm
Eanswith — whose name can be understood to mean “strong woman” was the granddaughter of Æthelberht of Kent and Bertha of Kent. She and her aunt Æthelburh of Kent founded the Folkestone priory— the first nunnery in England where She remained there until her untimely death at the age of about 20, in the year 650. Her remains are still at a church in Kent and are the earliest surviving remains of an English saint ever discovered.
Part of the 5 Saintly Women of Kent series.
Each tile is made entirely by hand, meaning no two are ever quite the same. Variations in colour, texture and finish are part of the process and make every piece unique.
Produced in a limited run of 20, each tile is a one-of-a-kind.
