Saint Mildred

Approx. 10cm × 10cm

Mildrith — often called Saint Mildred — was a seventh-century Anglo-Saxon princess, abbess and saint; one of the most revered female saints in early medieval England, she was associated with gentleness, charity and protection of the vulnerable. Medieval texts describe her as “merciful” and “meek,” and she became known as a healer and wonderworker in Kent.

Part of the 5 Saintly Women of Kent series.

Each tile is made entirely by hand, meaning no two are ever quite the same. Variations in colour, texture and finish are part of the process and make every piece unique.

Produced in a limited run of 20, each tile is a one-of-a-kind.
